Boy Howdy! This is our idea of a sandwich,' exclaims Audrey Hoesch and Glen Hillgartner as they bite into the first portion of the world's largest ham sandwich today at the World's Fair, while Phillip R. Reed, treasurer of Armour & Company; Ed Graule, chef, and John R. Thompson, Jr., look on. This eight foot square sandwich on which more than 1,200 children feasted, weighed 325 pounds.

First Lady Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt renewed an old acquaintanceship when she visited 'Slim' Williams, pilot of the dog team which made the famous dash from Copper Center, Alaska to A Century of Progress last year, during her recent visit to the World's Fair.

Construction of the Federal Building on Northerly Island adjacent to the Court of States exhibit. The Federal Building featured an art-deco design that included a rotunda and three tower-pylons representing the executive, judicial, and legislative branches of the U.S. government.
