A Century of Progress memorabilia collection

A Century of Progress International Exposition was held in Chicago during the summers of 1933 and 1934 to commemorate the 100th year anniversary of the incorporation of the city of Chicago in 1833. The A Century of Progress Memorabilia collection includes printed materials such as pamphlets, brochures, maps, photographs and souvenirs.

About the Collection

The A Century of Progress Memorabilia collection consists of various keepsakes and souvenir objects from the fair dating between 1928 and 1947. Materials photographed and scanned for the digital collection include guidebooks, magazines, souvenir photo books, souvenir kitchenwares, collectible spoons, jewelry, women’s compacts, smoking ephemera, view finders, toys, puzzles, cards, coins, medals, and textiles.
