William Brandon, left, of 8574 S. Avalon Ave., education specialist in the Chicago Urban League's Community Services Department, meets group of Doolittle Elementary School students during Crispus Attucks Day celebrations held recently at 35th Street and South Parkway Ave. On the extreme right is Edward R. Smith, teacher at Doolittle. Following the annual event which is sponsored by the Chicago Insurance Association, Brandon and Smith briefly discussed the League programw [sic] in the education section of Community Services. Brandon noted that his job is to consult with, participate in and work with people in all levels throughout the city in order to achieve quality and equality in the Chicago Schools.
