Student assembly for astronauts Young and Grissom

 

Astronaut Virgil "Gus" Grissom at a microphone in front of a large sign that says " 'Yea, Man' Chicago Welcomes Grissom & Young, Richard J. Daley Mayor". The sign was posted on the wall of the grand ballroom of the Sherman House Hotel, where an assembly of students and adults gathered to ask questions of the astronauts.
