LaSalle Street Canyon without Adler and Sullivan's Stock Exchange building

 

Sketch by C. William Brubaker of the west side of LaSalle Street looking south to the Chicago Board of Trade Building. The drawing illustrates the change in the streetscape that would occur if Adler and Sullivan's historic Stock Exchange building (30 N. LaSalle Street) were to be demolished, and a new office tower with a greater setback than the rest of the block built.
