Chicago River and Goose Island

 

View looking southeast from the West Division Street Bridge over the North Branch of the Chicago River toward the west side of Goose Island. Loading facilities for barges line the bank of the river on the Goose Island side, and the Penn-Dixie Industries, Inc. cement facility with its three concrete storage silos (demolished) is visible. Skyscrapers in the downtown Loop are visible against the sky in the distance.
