L��beck around 1450 was one of the centers of commerce. It's wealthy; merchants controlled the continent and had connections all over the world. Our picture shows the market place. Big merchants were dealing here in wholesale, and in the booths the good housekeepers did their shopping. The lady wears the typical L��beck costume with a blue hermine-trimmed coat.
