Notes:
Sign above the window reads "Original & Permanent location of Post Office contract; Station No. 10, founded Sept. 9th 1897 by Jane Addams". A stairway handrail leading down to the post office is visible in lower right corner. Postal station entrance was on Polk Street with the coffee shop's. "Miss McManus" was listed as running the post office with Miss LeFevre in the 1913 Hull-House Year book, and Elizabeth McManus was listed as running the post office with Winnifred McManus in the 1933 Hull-House Yearbook.
