The elevated walkway is visible at the bottom of the photograph, and a number of campus buildings are at the far right: the Union building and Tower (now Student Center East and Tower), and Douglas and Grant Halls. West Harrison Street runs up the left side of the image, and the intersection with South Halsted Street is at the middle left. The Dan Ryan Expressway (I-94) and part of the Circle interchange are in the upper part of the photograph, beyond Halsted Street. The old Post Office is at the top left.
