Loop skyline from the Chicago River

 

View looking southeast along the Chicago River from its west bank, just north of Lake Street. Boats are docked along the river and the downtown skyline is in the distance. The Lake Street elevated tracks run in front of the Loop high-rises. 150 North Wacker Drive, with its contrasting concrete side wall, is prominent in the skyline. The Civic Opera Building is near the right, with the Sears Tower (now Willis Tower) rising behind it.
