Notes:
Robert Hicks was previously co-director of Hull-House Boys Club with Wallace Kirkland and a wrestling coach and gymnastics instructor; Ida Hicks was a social worker. Same bell featured in a photo of members of the Blair family (0237_3360) from same event. Featured in July 4, 1962 Chicago Tribune photo spread "They Were There" with the caption, "Memories of their years as directors of the Bowen Country club come back to Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. Hicks of Ojai, Cal., as she rings bell at club."
