Torres immigrated to the US in 1924 and started taking classes at Hull-House after coming to Chicago. Vase may be the same one Nick Fosco is holding in #0299_0650; photo featured in Hull-House Yearbooks in 1929, p. 10; 1931, p. 18; and 1933, p. 19 with the caption "In the Pottery Class"
