View looking north along the North Branch of the Chicago River from north of West Division Street. On the left is the Chicago Rawhide Manufacturing Company factory (demolished). Farther up the river, a coal yard and coal barge are visible at the riverfront. In the distance behind these is the red brick Procter & Gamble plant with its two smokestacks (demolished). On the right is a Peoples Gas Light & Coke Company gas holder, part of the former Willow Street Station Manufactured Gas Plant Site (demolished).

View northwest along the North Branch of the Chicago River from the West Division Street Bridge. The Druth Packaging Corporation building, located Goose Island (demolished), is on the right. The Morton Salt warehouse (1357 North Elston Avenue) is near the center of the image. The New Metal Crafts, Inc. warehouse (1308 North Elston Avenue) , with a large painted advertisement for Smirnoff vodka is to the left of it. The St. Stanislaus Kostka Church (1351 West Evergreen Avenue) is on the far left.
