Storage sheds, warehouses, and a truck parking lot occupy riverfront land on the north side of the river between North Columbus Drive and North Lake Shore Drive. The Tribune Tower is on the upper left of the image, with the Sheraton Hotel (now InterContinental) to the right of it. The Michigan Terrace Apartments (535 North Michigan Avenue) are also visible to the right of the hotel.
