Mies van der Rohe office buildings
View to the west from the Chicago River, with three of Mies' office buildings. Two Illinois Center (233 North Michigan Avenue) is under construction on the left. One Illinois Center (111 East Wacker Drive) stands next to it. Both these buildings are part of the Illinois Center complex. The (now unused) Kinzie Street railroad bridge is in the raised position in the upper left foreground of the photograph. The Fulton House Condominiums (originally North American Cold Storage Company warehouse) are on the far right. The Lake Street elevated train tracks, with a CTA Green Line train running across them, are visible in front of the cluster of Loop high-rises. The Sears Tower (now Willis Tower) rises above them.
