East Ontario Street at Rush Street
View looking west along East Ontario Street. On the right of the image is Lawry's restaurant, at the corner of East Ontario and North Rush Streets. The Hanley Dawson Cadillac dealership (now demolished) is behind Lawry's, on the block between North Rush Street and North Wabash Avenue. The Croydon Hotel (now The James Chicago), at the southwest corner of East Ontario and North Rush Streets is at the left. Part of the Medinah Temple with its distinctive onion dome is visible behind the Croydon.

Restaurants on Rush Street
View of restaurants located in nineteenth-century residential buildings along the east side of North Rush Street. At the far right of the image is Armando's Restaurant, at Rush and East Superior Streets. A large sign for Club Alabam (747 North Rush Street), a dining and dance establishment, stands on the rooftops near the center of the image. On the left is the south facade - facing Chicago Avenue - of Water Tower Hyatt House hotel (originally Water Tower Inn). Part of the John Hancock Center is visible at the upper right.
