Elevated train tracks, North Franklin Street
View looking north along North Franklin Street from just south of the intersection with West Grand Avenue. The CTA Brown Line elevated tracks run above the street. On the right of the photograph, 213 West Grand is visible. 300 West Grand is on the left.

Hooker Street, Goose Island
View looking along North Hooker Street north of North Evergreen Avenue. The old tracks of the Milwaukee Road line which formerly serviced this area are embedded in the pavement. In the center distance is the Procter & Gamble plant (demolished) with its white smokestack.

Lissner Corporation warehouse, Goose Island
View looking north at the Lissner Corporation warehouse (later Pickens-Kane warehouse), located on the west side of North Branch Street between West Bliss Street and West Haines Streets. The railroad tracks of the Milwaukee Road line which formerly serviced this area are embedded in the street.

Bridges and viaducts: E. Randolph St. Viaduct; Roosevelt Road Viaduct; N. Sangamon St.; N. State St. Bridge. Many of the 35 mm negatives document damage and deterioration on Chicago's bridges, viaducts and underpasses that need repair though some frames provide a general view of the bridges at the time they were taken.

Industrial district, Huron and Franklin Streets
View looking northwest from under the elevated train tracks at the intersection of West Huron and North Franklin Streets. West Huron Street runs along the left of the image. At the extreme right, a lower corner of 712-720 North Franklin Street/301 West Superior Street) is visible. Next to that is the rear of 311-313 West Superior Street. The Brunswick-Balke-Collender Building (now demolished) is the large industrial building at the left running along North Orleans Street.
