Industrial buildings along North Branch of Chicago River
View looking north along the North Branch of the Chicago River from north of West Division Street. On the left is the Chicago Rawhide Manufacturing Company factory (demolished). Beyond that, a coal yard and coal barge are visible at the riverfront. In the distance is the red brick Procter & Gamble plant (demolished) with its two smokestacks. At the far right part is a Peoples Gas Light & Coke Company gas holder, part of the former Willow Street Station Manufactured Gas Plant Site (demolished).

Navy Pier
View of the south side of Navy Pier, looking northeast from just south of the west end of the pier. The ferris wheel and other structures built as part of a major Pier renovation in 1995 are visible. A sightseeing boat and two large cruise boats are moored alongside the pier.

Chicago River from North Columbus Drive
View east along the Chicago River from North Columbus Drive towards North Lake Shore Drive. Part of the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers is at the far left, and Cityfront Place apartments (400 North McClurg Court) is to the right of it. The Centennial Fountain, located on the north bank of the Chicago River at McClurg Court, arcs across the river, and a tour boat cruises towards Lake Michigan. Navy Pier is visible in the center distance.

The Penn-Dixie Cement Corporation facility on Goose Island (formerly 1070 North Branch Avenue, demolished), with its tall cement kilns, is on the left. On the lower right of the image, boats are docked along the west bank of the river. The Civic Opera Building (20 North Wacker Drive) with its Kemper Insurance sign is visible in the distance on the right. The Marina City towers are visible in the distance on the far left.

Loop skyline from North Branch of Chicago River
View looking southeast along the Chicago River from the West Kinzie Street Bridge. The (now unused) Kinzie Street railroad bridge is in the raised position in the upper left foreground of the photograph. The Fulton House Condominiums (originally North American Cold Storage Company warehouse) are on the far right. The Lake Street elevated train tracks, with a CTA Green Line train running across them, are visible in front of the cluster of Loop high-rises. The Sears Tower (now Willis Tower) rises above them.

Chicago River and Dearborn Street bridge
View northeast across the Chicago River to the Near North side. The Dearborn Street bridge is on the left of the image, and a single-story building and industrial land occupies the site where Marina City now stands. Behind that, 33 West Kinzie Street (now Harry Caray's restaurant, originally Chicago Varnish Company) is visible. To the left of it, the top part of the former Cook County Criminal Court Building (now Court House Place) located at 54 West Hubbard Street, is visible.
