Bridges and viaducts: Various bridges. Many of the 35 mm negatives document damage and deterioration on Chicago's bridges, viaducts and underpasses that need repair though some frames provide a general view of the bridges at the time they were taken.

The John Sexton Building, located at Illinois and Orleans Streets, is in the foreground at the lower right. Industrial buildings including the Wallace Press Building and Kirchheimer Brothers Paper Company (417 West Ohio Street) are visible behind and to the left of the Sexton Building. The Montgomery Ward & Company Headquarters tower (now The Montgomery condominiums) stands out against the sky on the far left.

Hubbard Street, west of North Wells Street

Industrial buildings, West Ontario Street
View looking west along the north side of West Ontario Street at 222 West Ontario (home to Lino's Ristorante at the time of the photograph), the Deahl Building (also with address of 222 West Ontario), and the Leahy Building (226 West Ontario). 70 West Erie Street
View of the front facade of a four-story, nineteenth-century building located at 70 West Erie Street, just east of the intersection with East Clark Street. The address of this building is also given as 661 N. Clark Street. At the time of the photograph, the building had been renovated to house Salvador's, a Mexican restaurant.

To the right of the billboard, the three story building with the brown brick front facade became part of the Hooters restaurant at 660 North Wells Street. Behind this building is North Branch II (311-313 West Superior Street), with a banner reading "The North Branch Center". The Merchandise Mart is in the distance at the far left.
