Many of the 35 mm negatives document damage and deterioration on Chicago's bridges, viaducts and underpasses that need repair though some frames provide a general view of the bridges at the time they were taken. Bridges and viaducts include: Indiana Ave. Bridge; Irving Park Rd. Bridge (including 1 print); Kinzie St. Ramp; W. Lake St. Bridge; Lake Shore Dr. (Irving Park Rd. Junior Citizen's Committee: Saint George School through Saint Michael School (Folder 590)
Community Activities bring the city's government into the neighborhood. Mayor Richard J. Daley's campaign for a cleaner Chicago reached out to students in Chicago's schools and made them part of the Junior Citizen's Committee for a Cleaner Chicago. 8 x 10 group portraits of students, teachers and administrators feature prominently in Series VI.
