Elevated walkway near Harrison Street, University of Illinois at Chicago Circle
View north along the elevated walkway at West Harrison Street, showing Turner Gate marking the north entrance to campus. Chain-linked granite bollards, featuring Walter Netsch's "tiger tooth" design, lined the exterior walkways and stairwells of the Chicago Circle campus. The Formfit Building (later purchased by the University) is in the distance north of the Eisenhower Expressway.

Memorial Grove site, University of Illinois at Chicago Circle
View southwest showing site development for the southwest garden, named the Harry W. Pearce Memorial Grove after the Physical Plant Director who served as the coordinator of Phase 1 of campus construction. (The grove is sometimes referred to as the Chicago Circle Memorial Grove). The Utilities Building is visible in the distance in the upper center of the photograph, along with neighborhood buildings near Blue Island Avenue and South Morgan Street.
