Partial view of the C. H. Hanson Company building (303 West Erie Street), located at the southwest corner of West Erie Street and North Franklin Street. A large water tower stands on its roof. There is a parking lot is to the north of the building across West Erie Street, and the elevated track supports for the CTA Brown Line are visible to the left of the building, running along North Franklin Street.

Next to it is 401 West Ontario Street, and, further down the block is the Ontario Building (now Ontario Street Lofts, 411 West Ontario Street).
