Community Activities bring the city's government into the neighborhood. Mayor Richard J. Daley's campaign for a cleaner Chicago reached out to students in Chicago's schools and made them part of the Junior Citizen's Committee for a Cleaner Chicago. 1973 community activities at: George F. Cassell, John J. Duffy, Mount Greenwood; St. Cajetan; and St. Christina schools; John F. Horsepower I sculpture, Sedgwick Park
View of the sculpture Horsepower I, by Chicago sculptor John Kearney. The work is installed in Ogden Mall Park (Sedgwick Park), located between North Sedgwick Street and North Hudson Avenue, south of West Wisconsin Street. The sculpture consists of two large horses made from welded steel car bumpers, and is part of the art collection of the City of Chicago.
