Professor Daniel Sandin, a video and computer graphics artist, joined UIC to bring computers to the art curriculum. Saladin shares his thoughts about art, computers, and virtual reality via several videos highlighting his work from the 70’s and 90’s like, the Photobooth installation, Spiral Five, and the Cave Automatic Virtual Environment. Other topic discussed include Sandin’s inventions, student experiences in the program at UIC, and the Chicago Circle Graphics Habitat (now the Electronic Visualization Laboratory) role in original Star Wars movie.
