Image Image
View to the west from the Chicago River, towards three Mies van der Rohe office buildings. Two Illinois Center (233 North Michigan Avenue) is on the left. One Illinois Center (111 East Wacker Drive) stands next to it on the right, with the Hyatt Regency Chicago I under construction in front of it. The third Mies building, the IBM building (330 North Wabash) is next to the right, and the former Sun-Times building (demolished) is visible in front of its base. The Equitable Building is the next high-rise to the right. The Mandel Building (Mandel-Lear Building) formerly at 211 East North Water Street (demolished) is in front of the Equitable Building, and other storage and warehouse facilities are in the right foreground.
