The office and commercial building in the center of the image stood at 100 East Ohio Street. Olson Rug occupied the ground floor at the time of the photograph. The 625 North Michigan building rises behind it. The Croydon Hotel (now The James Hotel) is at the far left, and the St. Clair hotel (formerly at 162 East Ohio Street) is at the far right.
