Chicago Photographic Collection 332 objects
The Chicago Photographic Collection is comprised of photographic archives of several well-known photographic firms operating in Chicago in the late nineteenth and throughout the twentieth centuries.


Illinois Department of Transportation Traffic Photograph Collection 671 objects
The collection includes negatives and photographs generated by the Department of Public Works and Buildings from 1930 to 1960, which preceded the Illinois Department of Transportation. The records include negatives and photographs of traffic intersections along some of Chicago’s major roadways, surveys of Chicago Transit Authority bus stations, bridges and viaducts throughout Chicago, and various projects conducted by Illinois’ leading transportation agency in 1930s to 1950s.


Forest Preserve District of Cook County records 3053 objects
The Forest Preserve District of Cook County was created in 1914 with a mandate to “protect and preserve” the forests of Cook County. By 2004, the district had acquired more than 67,000 acres of forest lands. This collection contains the records of the district and other records and photographs that are relevant for the district’s history.


C. William Brubaker Collection 2369 objects
During the 1960s through 1990s, architect and photographer Charles William “Bill” Brubaker (1926-2002) photographically documented examples of significant architecture and design of the urban environment in the Chicago area and in other cities that he lived in or visited. This collection consists of slides taken by Brubaker.


Chicago Aerial Photographic Services collection 40 objects
The Chicago Aerial Photographic Services company conducted aerial surveys of the Chicago region from the 1930s to the early 2000s. This collection provides thousands of high resolution aerial photographs of the region over several decades.


Chicago Area Pharmacy Photographs 131 objects
This collection of 35 mm color slides of Chicago and suburban drugstores was created by an unidentified photographer in 1955. It depicts pharmacies in various Chicago neighborhoods and suburbs. This collection was donated by Dr. Richard J. Anzalone, an alumnus of the College of Pharmacy, and retired Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacy Practice.


James Parker collection 755 objects
James S. Parker owned the firm Copelin Commercial Photographs that operated continuously in Chicago beginning in 1856. The collection's photographic negatives and prints extensively record Chicago's built environment.
