The University of Illinois Arithmetic Project was created in the fall of 1958 and was directed by Professor David Page. Over a five year period the staff of this project created an entirely new elementary mathematics course including textbooks and suitable teaching aids. This collection includes titled worksheets that progressively increase in difficulty.

About the Collection

David A. Page was a professor in mathematics working to develop an improved elementary mathematics curriculum and better preparation for teachers in order to use it. This collection consists of the bulk of Professor Page's curriculum materials and Arithmetic Project.
The University of Illinois Arithmetic Project was created in the fall of 1958. It was directed by Professor David Page. Over a five year period the staff of this project created an entirely new elementary mathematics course including textbooks, guides of teacher, and suitable teaching aids. For much of Professor Pages career with the University of Illinois he taught teacher preparation courses in the same manner as the project.
The digitized material includes worksheets and curriculum materials relating to geometry and math.
