A Century of Progress records
A Century of Progress International Exposition was held in Chicago during the summers of 1933 and 1934 to commemorate the incorporation of the city in 1833. This collection consists of the extant operating records of A Century Progress World's Fair.

The building is nine hundred feet long and ten stories in height at its center. It faces upon a five acre park fronting Lake Michigan. Albert Kahn of Detroit is the architect, and Walter Dorwin Teague of New York, the industrial designer, is in charge of the interior display.

The exhibit here displays the interior of the vehicle, allowing patrons to see the frame and engine clearly. The Hupmobile was manufactured by the Hupp Motor Company of Detroit, founded by Craig and Louis Hupp in 1908. Hupp Motors manufactured automobiles from 1909 to 1940, when the company went out of business.

The exhibit pictured here is a model binder twine machine, which was used to tie the top of a shock of wheat together for easier handling and transport. The International Harvester exhibit was located in the Travel and Transport building.
